Within seconds I was naked like her, and she got to her knees before me. Her warm mouth enveloped my cock. I moaned as I enjoyed the feeling of her mouth surrounding me, she hungrily sucked me as if she’s been waiting for this moment all day. I grabbed her head and pushed deeper into her mouth. I was serenaded to the sounds of her slurping my cock; I pulled away before I came prematurely.

I sat on the couch, and she straddled me. I looked at her in the eyes and pushed her hair back from her face. Her perfect dark complexion was stunning, and her almond shaped eyes drew me in. She guided my cock to her tight entrance, and I took a quick intake of breath in anticipation of what was to come. She slowly lowered onto me; my cock invaded her velvety walls, forcing them to spread apart to accommodate me.

Her head lay against my shoulder, and I could feel her breath on my face as she rode me to in a slow sensual rhythm. I grabbed her ample hips and lifted to meet her thrust for thrust. Her body was supple, and I would never get enough of touching it. She was larger than all of the women that I’ve ever been with, and I don’t think that I could ever go back to a size two.

Her pace increased, and she was no longer with me. She was in a place of her own ecstasy, but I was reaping the benefits. I leaned my head back against the couch I pushed deep inside of her, and her pussy convulsed on my cock as she imploded around me. Her creamy coating covered me, and I joined her. My balls tightened, and I exploded inside of her warmth.

We stayed in that position for what felt like minutes in complete contentment.

“You sure know how to greet a man,” I laughed.

  “You inspire me,” she smiled.

I finished up a meeting with my executive staff, and headed for my office. It had already been a long day but it was about to get even longer.

“Kyle Kane Senior is in your office Sir,” Charlotte said as she went to help Camille on a project.

I wondered what would cause my father to drop by unannounced. He’s the master of protocol and would call for an appointment if he was going to see me during the work day. I knew that there must have been something important that he wanted to discuss.

“Hi father, this is a surprise.”

“Hello Kyle,” he said curtly sitting in my own seat, “Come and have a seat,” he pointed to the chair across from him.

I was transported back in time, back to when the office used to belong to him. I suddenly felt like this was no longer my turf. Technically everything still belonged to him. He was the owner, and I’m the acting CEO, but I’m accustomed to having full reign.

“What’s going on?” I said as I sat down.

“Why haven’t you told me about the trouble that your old assistant Amanda has been causing?” he asked.

“I didn’t want to trouble you with petty information like that,” I said, “It’s being handled and so there was really no need.”

He gave a slight grunt, “No need my ass, obviously there was a need. If this information got back to me then that means that she’s a problem. She’s leaked information. You took it too easy on her, and she ran her mouth. Your head is on the block for this Kyle..”

“Like I said, I’m handling it. I was doing my best to be civil and that didn’t work so I’m working on a different approach.”

“Maybe you’ve been too busy with other, erm, things.”

My temperature went up a few degrees because I knew that the “things” that he was referring to was Camille.

“Now that you’re here dad, I’ve wanted to talk to you about that. I plan on going public with Camille.”

“There is no need in going public with someone you’re not serious about,” my dad scoffed.

“I thought that I’ve made it quite clear that I’m serious about her. I’ve let you, and the rest of the family know just how much she means to me.”

“Oh you mean that little charade you pulled months back? We didn’t think that you were serious; we figured that you were just trying to keep her around. I can’t say that I blame you; she’s a hot little number. If I were 30 years younger I would do the same... But you can’t go public with this relationship; I think that it will be a potential disaster. The shareholders are nervous enough as it is at the moment.”

“I understand that people may not like it at first but they will get used to it.”

“I really don’t understand why you’re trying to parade your girlfriend around. The both of you seem to get along well enough, there’s no need for the rest. You’re staying together, and she works with you every day. You give her the best of everything from what I hear. What more could she possibly want?”

“She wants all of me, and I don’t want her to be a secret. I should be able to let people know who she is to me. I don’t want to hide it anymore, I’m not going to hide it anymore,” I said as my pulse raced.

Me and my dad sat and stared each other down. I seldom opposed his wishes; he was a dad that led his household with an iron fist. He was used to complete compliance from his children, and we usually obliged him. But I couldn’t let him walk all over me when it came to my relationship with Camille. I had to stand up for my relationship or he would try to dictate to me forever.

“Listen here son;” my dad said slowly, “The bottom line is that it’s too risky of a situation. I allowed you to take over because I thought that you would do a good job despite your youth. Being the boss means putting the company before your own personal interest. I had to make huge sacrifices in order to get where we are today. Now it’s time for you to make some sacrifice as well, and this isn’t a big one.”

I listened intently to his words and understood what he meant, but everything within me was saying it was the right thing to do. I needed to listen to my heart for once in my life.

“Trust me dad, I understand all about sacrifices. That’s what I’ve done all my life to get to this position. I’ve worked my ass off to be worthy of taking over the company. But I plan on moving forward with this. I think that it’s best for me, I love her.”

“Kyle, you are not listening to me. This is a critical time for the company, and because of you and your personal life getting out of hand, our competition is trying to poach clients from us. It looks like some of them may succeed,” he said raising his voice. “We have an image to uphold and that’s all American. Can you imagine what they’ll think if they find out whom you’re dating? To make matters worse, she’s your assistant too. This entire situation looks sleazy and this will not represent well on the company.”

I tried to contain my anger. My father had a lot of nerve to speak about my life. It was a well known fact that he had more than a working relationship with his assistants. If Camille was white he probably would have no problem. He had no right to judge me or to tell me how to live my life.

“There is nothing sleazy about my relationship with Camille. I told you what I planned on doing out of courtesy, and I’m not asking for your permission.”

My dad sighed, “I didn’t want it to come to this, but if you push me I will replace you Kyle. I gave you this position, and I will remove you. Do not test me. You think long and hard about what you want to do. Now, what’s your decision?”

I was in between a rock and a hard place.

For now, it was probably best to just agree with my father and work out a plan later on. He clearly was not going to take no for answer right now.

  #Chapter6

“I know you want my man.” Camille

Two steps forward, one step back. That’s how my relationship with Kyle felt sometimes. I was really happy with him, and he was being so attentive. I had everything that I wanted except public recognition. I hated that small feeling inside me that I was just his little “secret” and he would be ready to drop me for the first hot white blonde that comes along. No matter how much I tried to tell myself to get over it, I just couldn’t. But my love for him kept me around. He was so good to me, and he asked me to be patient, so I was determined to give him the time
that he needed.

So now I’m here in the conference room confirming the guest list for the gala with Charlotte. She and I weren’t friends, but we weren’t enemies either. I had the suspicion that she was still in love with Kyle. You can never trust the intentions of a bitch that wants your man. She reminded me of Amanda, and I wanted to bring it up to Kyle but then I would seem like I was causing drama. You can’t tell a man that his judgment was bad two times in a row. That would be too much for his ego to take.

“So how are things going with you and Kyle?” Charlotte asked.

“What do you mean?” I responded.

“You know what I mean,” she laughed, “We’ve never talked about it but I know about your relationship with him.”

I felt dread settling in the pit of my stomach because I knew that the conversation wasn’t going to turn out well for either of us. There was a reason that I never discussed my relationship with Kyle with her. It wasn’t her business, and it wasn’t appropriate.

“I know that you’re privy to our relationship, I just don’t understand why you want to know about it. It just seems inappropriate for you to ask me a question like that.”

She gave a sly grin, “Aww come on, don’t be like that. I was just checking to see if he treats you the same that way he treated me. I figured that we could compare notes you know…girl talk.”

One thing that every black girl knows is that you don’t talk to another woman about your man. You definitely don’t tell his ex about our relationship. Charlotte must have thought that I had stupid and naïve written on my forehead. She was proving to be the manipulative bitch that I pegged her for.

“There will be no girl talk,” I laughed, “I know you want my man.”

She looked taken aback by my forwardness, and I could see the wheels turning in her head. She was trying to figure out what to say next.

“Well, even if I did want him it doesn’t matter. He made it quite clear when I was at his apartment that we would have a business relationship.”

Her words cut into me like a knife. I know that she intentionally tried to hurt me with her admission, and I chose not to go for her jugular. But I had to know when she was at his place.

“When were you at his apartment?”

“Oh, It was the week before he hired me, I came to his apartment around midnight and we had a long conversation. The next Monday he hired me. I was hoping that we could be more, but he has you,” she said with disgust.

“You’re right he does have me.”

“You know that the both of you are never going last right? He’s using you and as soon as he gets tired, you’re going back to where ever your came from. It has happened a million times before...”

“You sure are bitter for someone that claims to know her place,” I said.

“I am a little bitter because you’re only around because I chose to leave. Kyle and I were happy, and we can be happy again if you would just go away. We’re meant for each other, he and I can have a real future, and you’re messing it up. Do us and yourself a favor by going away.”

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Her words were full of a lot of my insecurities, and I couldn’t let her know that she was getting to me. I was afraid that Kyle wasn’t going public with our relationship because he was ashamed of me. There was no way that a man like him would settle down with a woman like me. We were opposites in so many ways and not just in skin color. My background and upbringing was so different, Kyle would be shocked if he knew the truth about what I used to get up to when I was younger.

“This conversation between us is over, and you better tread lightly. You don’t want to suffer the same fate as bitter Amanda. I’m not going anywhere, but you’re expendable, so don’t you ever forget that,” I said as I rose to my feet.

I walked out of the conference room, and I was happy to have some space between her and I. She was safer while a door was between us. I had to find Kyle to tell him what was going on. I needed to vent, and I needed some answers from him. Like, why would he allow her to come to his apartment at midnight and never tell me? He had plenty of opportunities to tell me what happened but he never told me the truth. This worried me.

I walked to his office, and the door was cracked. I was about to open it to see if he was alone, but I heard another voice from the inside of the door. He wasn’t scheduled for a meeting so I was a little surprised. I was going to walk away, but I heard my name mentioned.

“Well I am glad you agree son. No one outside of the family needs to know about your relationship with Camille.”

  “Yes sir,” Kyle said.

“I’m happy to see that you’re thinking with your brain again and not the part down below,” his father laughed.

“Well at the end of the day, I want to do what’s best for the company. Nothing means more to me than that. It’s my legacy, and I’ll do whatever it takes.”

His father sighed, “If it was anyone else, I would have allowed you to go public. But we just can’t afford a move like this one.”

“Okay dad, we don’t have to talk about it anymore. Let’s talk about what’s next for us.”

I stood frozen outside of the door. I couldn’t hear what was being said anymore. I was lost in my own thoughts. He was never going to tell anyone about me and our relationship wasn’t going to go anywhere. My fears were proving to be true. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, Charlotte was right. The color of my skin was a huge barrier between Kyle and I, and it was one that we wouldn’t be able to cross.

  ***

Getting through the rest of the day was torture. I had to smile and pretend like everything was okay but inside I felt sick. I went to Kyle’s apartment in a separate cab at soon at the clock struck 6 p.m. I wanted to gather my things and take them back to my apartment. But I had to speak with him before I chose to leave. I wouldn’t storm out like I did before; he deserved a chance to prove me wrong. I hoped like hell that he would surprise me but I did not feel confident he would.

I sat nervously on the couch and waited for him to arrive. It felt like the longest half hour of my life. He and I had grown so close over the time that we’ve been together, and I didn’t want to throw it all away. But I could no longer compromise my wants and needs to be with him. His father didn’t respect our relationship, and I was willing to bet that his family didn’t either. I felt like a complete fool.

I heard the elevator open, and Kyle walked in, he looked downtrodden, and my instinct was to hug him, but I couldn’t put his feelings over my own.

“Hey,” he said, “It would have been nice if you told me that you were leaving. I had to find out from Charlotte. She said that you were upset. What’s wrong?”

“Why didn’t you tell me that Charlotte was here in your apartment?” I asked.

He stared at me, and a myriad of expressions flashed across his face.

“Camille, any other day I could tolerate this kind of conversation but today I just can’t. It’s been a long day and I just want a drink and I want to relax. We can have this conversation later.”

“No, we have to have it now. I need to know why you kept it from me Kyle.”

“So Charlotte told you that she was here huh?” he asked in disbelief. “She promised that she wasn’t going to bring any drama to my damned office. I’m such an idiot, again,” he said to himself.

  “That doesn’t answer my question.”

“I didn’t keep it from you to hurt you. I kept it from you because I didn’t want you to feel insecure about it. Nothing happened between the both of us and so there was no need for you to worry about it. I don’t want her, I want you, and that’s why you’re here with me instead of her. I thought we had been through this..” he said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

“Kyle I-I can’t do this anymore,” I said.

I felt exhausted, and I didn’t want to fight with him. I didn’t want to feel hidden anymore. I wanted peace in my life and it wasn’t with him. I deserved to be with s
omeone that wasn’t afraid to tell everyone about me. Even if it meant going back to my loser ex at least I would feel respected.

“What do you mean when you say that?”

“I heard the conversation between you and your father,” I admitted, “I can’t be your secret anymore. I deserve more than this.”

“You promised that you would stick it out with me.”

“For how long Kyle?” I yelled, “Because it seems like you’re asking me to do it indefinitely.”

“You know that I would never do that you,” he responded.

“Do I?” I asked, “Prove it to me then. Let everyone know who we really are to each other, and I’ll stay. I’ll stick with you through everything; nothing will be able to keep me away. I’ll give you all of me, but first I need to know that you’re willing to do the same for me.”

Kyle went completely still, and it looked like he was fighting a war within himself. My heart felt like it was about to beat out of my chest, as I waited for him to respond. What was he thinking? Why wouldn’t he give me what I needed?

“I love you Camille, but that’s just something that I can’t do right now. I’m sorry that we can’t work this out, but the fact is that things just have to be this way. If you can’t stick through it with me, then we have to end this part of our relationship.”

“Really? That’s what I get? A dismissal as if our relationship is a business transaction. I’m done Kyle. I’m done with everything, I can’t take anymore.”

I reach up to my neck and undid the clasp of my necklace, I sat it on the coffee table and walked away to gather my things. I only grabbed the items that I purchased with my own money. I didn’t want any reminders of him inside of my apartment.

“I hope that we will be able to work together without this affecting our work relationship.”

“You really don’t get it do you?” I asked in disbelief, “I’m resigning as your personal assistant. I can’t be around you every day and not be with you. All I ask from you is that you give me a good personal reference. I’ve delivered quality work, so please don’t screw me over. I won’t work for any of your competitors, and I won’t expose our secret relationship to anyone.”
