#Chapter8
“If looks could kill, there would have been a massacre” Kyle
**
Have you ever just known that your day was probably going to suck?
That’s the way that I felt when I woke up this morning. Today was the first day that family and pleasure collided in my life. I pushed back my fear and moved forward with the day. I was excited to see Camille tonight because she went home yesterday to hang out with her friend, shop, and all of the other things that women do together.
Arriving at my sister’s party felt like torture. Watching the both of them drink freely and flirt with men was enough to make me want to punch someone in the face. My solution to this was to subdue my anger with alcohol. I took a seat on the comfortable loungewear and gave myself a view of the entrance. I wanted to make sure that I could see Camille when she finally showed up. It seemed like forever and I almost thought that she wasn’t going to show.
I couldn’t blame her if she decided not to come. It’s not like I decided to invite her as my date. I think that’s what she was waiting for but I couldn’t bring myself to say it. I don’t like to merge those parts of my life, but Chloe had already invited her and I wasn’t going to rescind the invitation. Chloe can be so pushy and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Finally, I saw Camille strut out onto the roof and she had my immediate attention. How could anyone not notice her when she walked into the room? She looked just like a sexy ebony goddess and my cock was at full attention. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably and saw my sisters swarm her and her friend. They laughed and chatted for a bit. While I was watching them Amanda came and sat next to me.
“Kyle you’re looking especially good tonight,” she whispered into my ear.
“Thank you Amanda, you look pretty good yourself,” I couldn’t help but appreciate the view. She was wearing a hot white little number, with the emphasis on little. All of her best assets were on display. Her fake C cups looked downright delicious. Even though I found her to be attractive, I wasn’t interested in taking it beyond that.
“Chloe and Claire told me that you are letting them use your condo in Vegas for a week, you’re one trusting man,” she says with a sly smile.
I look up from her C cups and look for Camille, and she’s nowhere to be found. I wonder where she’s gone but I don’t think much of it because it’s a huge party. Hopefully she’s off enjoying herself, but not too much. I laugh and joke with Amanda for a while about my sisters. She knows how much I love them and how much they get under my skin.
I really enjoy Amanda’s company. Overall, I think that she’s a great person. Everything turned out for the best, and I’m happy that she turned my proposition down. I know that we are better off as friends, she’s conniving and I don’t like that kind of behavior in a partner. One reason that I keep her around is because she’s always been loyal to me. In my business loyalty matters and she’s never done anything to my knowledge to hurt or betray my trust.
I look up and Camille is standing in front of me, she looks even better up close. Her curves are to die for and her dress is hugging all of them. I think of her naked spread on my desk as I rise to greet her and her friend. After we all make introductions Amanda leans over to tell me something.
“Gregory is all over your sister,” she says.
I look over and I see one of my employees with their hands on Claire’s waist. He’s damned near 40. I excuse myself to take care of the situation.
“Greg, get your hands off my sister,” I say as I stalk towards them.
“Oh please, I’m an adult and I can take care of myself,” my sister drunkenly says.
“Okay, I’ll just run over to dad and let him know how much of an adult you are,” I challenge.
“Whoa, I’m sorry Kyle. You’re absolutely right and I won’t touch her again,” Greg says as he scampers off.
“Wow, you’re a real buzz kill, I’m going to the bathroom. You can hold my dress up while I pee if you want,” she rolls her eyes.
I don’t respond to her comment and I walk to the other side of the deck with Amanda on my heels. I order a drink from one of the servers.
“Don’t worry about her, she’s drunk and you swooped in to save the day. Believe me; she’ll thank you in the morning,” Amanda insists.”
“I don’t care if she thanks me or not, those two are never going to happen if I have anything to do with it.”
After a few moments, I look around the deck to see if I can spot Camille, and I see her at the bar. She’s surrounded by men making small talk and they have other things on their mind. They are shamelessly flirting with my woman, and she seems to be receptive. My jaw clenches in jealousy and I almost break the glass that I’m holding.
“Don’t worry about her,” Amanda says, “You have me, and I’m not going anywhere.”
She traces the line of my jaw with her hand and lifts up to kiss me on the lips. I instinctively respond before I pull away and grab her hand roughly.
“What are you doing?”
“Something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now, “she says before stepping in to kiss me again.
I take a step back to get some space between us.
“We are never going to happen; I thought that I was clear about that. You made your choice and now we have to live with it.”
“But we have something special and…”
Her words fade out in my brain when I look up and I see Camille high tailing it for the exit. She had to have seen Amanda kiss me. I run after her leaving Amanda standing there while she’s still talking.
“Camille!” I yell.
I know that she heard me yell her name because she starts to walk faster; her friend looks back and gives me a cruel stare. If looks could kill, there would have been a massacre. There is nothing like a black woman looking at you evilly, so much is communicated in her eyes and I’m sure she literally wants to rip my head off. I continue behind them and run into the elevator behind them just as the doors are about to close.
“Why are you here?” Camille yells at me.
“I know what you saw but I just wanted to tell you that it wasn’t what you think.”
“Save it, because I don’t want to hear it. You’ve made your choice and it wasn’t me. I refuse to sit around while you publically acknowledge the woman that you really want to be with.”
“No, she kissed me, but I didn’t return it.”
Camille responds with a smack of her lips. My stomach is in knots as I try to think of something to salvage our doomed relationship.
“I only want you Camille,” I plead as the elevator reaches the lobby. We walk out in silence.
“Prove it then, take me back upstairs and introduce me to your family as your girlfriend.”
She asked for it, the one thing that I cannot give. I’m falling in love with her but what will my family think? What will my clients think and am I really ready for that?
“That’s exactly what I thought,” she responded to my silence. “You know what; you and that bitch Amanda deserve each other. Tell her that she’s won, and she can add me to the list of the women that she’s chased away.”
“What does Amanda have to do with any of this?” I ask.
“Ask her!” she yells before walking off with her friend.
#Chapter9
“Am I going to go on trial?” Camille
**
It’s been a week since that horrible incident at Chloe and Claire’s party. I can’t believe that I acted out like that in public; I’m usually a lot classier than that. I hate it when I let people bring that out of me. I texted Kyle after the incident and let him know that I needed the week off. He’s been calling me like crazy ever since but I don’t answer. I’m pretty sure that I’m fired and I don’t care.
My pride means a lot more to me than any amount of money. I’ll start job hunting tomorrow. Today, I’m on my way to figure out my fate. He’s called and requested that I come to his office today.
He’s still my boss and I don’t want to act unprofessionally so I’m showing up. I’m looking forward to seeing him even though I shouldn’t. This week has been hell without him. It’s funny how a person can become an integral part of your life in such a short period of time.
I walk into the huge office and it seems like all eyes are on me. Everyone couldn’t know about the incident could they? As I head towards Kyle’s office, Amanda stalks towards me with tears in her eyes.
“I hope you’re happy bitch,” she says in a low tone and walks out with security behind her.
What the hell is going on? I’ve worked on keeping myself calm all morning and now all of that has gone out of the window. I walk to Kyle’s door and it’s closed, I give a hard knock.
“Come in,” Kyle’s voice says.
I slowly open the door and peek in. I see Chloe, Claire, an older woman, and a man that I recognize as Kyle’s father from the party.
“I’m sorry,” I exclaim,” should I come back at another time?”
“No, we’ve been waiting for you,” Kyle says, “Come in and close the door.”
Is all of this really necessary? I can’t believe that he invited his whole family here to fire me.
What kind of business is this?
Am I going to go on trial?
“I wanted to introduce my family to the woman that I love,” he says quickly.
I stand there frozen and I’m speechless.
There is a brief silence before Chloe’s laugh breaks the tension.
“I didn’t know that you and Kyle had something going on. You both are down with the swirl and we think it’s great.”
That comment elicits a laugh from us all.
“It’s great to finally meet the woman that has captured my son’s heart,” his mother says as she rises to give me a hug.
“I’m sorry everyone, but I really don’t know what to say.”
“Just say that you forgive me, I was an absolute idiot and I should have acknowledged my feelings for you in the beginning.”
“Of course I forgive you, and I love you too.”
He hugs me in front of his family and they all make soft comments.
“Well everyone, now you’ve heard it from me. I’m in love with Camille, she’s my personal assistant, and I look forward to our life together.”
“Well it’s about time son,” his father says, “We thought that you were going to be single forever. Welcome into the fold Camille.”
“Thank you Sir,” I say.
“I just want you to know that I took what you said seriously and I fired Amanda today. She’s pissed but I can’t have someone like that around me. I thought I could trust her but clearly I could not. ”
“That’s like music to my ears,” I laugh, before I kiss him.
Kyle then treats us all to lunch and I sit and listen to his family tell me all sorts of stories about him. They seem to be really happy he has met me and I can tell they really love Kyle.
Well he is quite lovable I guess!

5 Months Later...
“Good Morning baby,” Kyle says as he kisses me awake. “I’ve made breakfast for you.”
“Coffee too?”
“Yes coffee too, hazelnut,” he responds.
“You are the best,” I reply as I reach over to the night stand and grab my collar.
Kyle and I have been together for 5 months now and it’s been the best five months of my life. I’ve come to realize that I’m a lot happier under his thumb. He respects me and loves me. I finally took his collar last month and he was surprised when I brought it up. It’s still a challenge to sometimes to submit to his leadership, but that’s not because of the racial thing, it’s because of my stubbornness. Luckily for me, he’s a patient man.
I gave up my apartment in the south suburbs and I live with him, and I don’t regret my decision for one moment. Kyle is everything to me and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
I put on my collar, and take a look at my phone. I have 8 missed calls and they’re all from Marcus. I haven’t spoken to him since the day that I put him out of my apartment. I see that he’s texted me and I read it.
I miss you and I love you, can we try again please? I’m done with all of this bullshit. Let’s meet for lunch.
Marcus
My stomach drops; I delete the message but I know I will have to respond to it later....

THE SECRET OF
THE WHITE BILLIONAIRE
#Prologue
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I haven’t traveled to the west side of Chicago in over 6 months and I hadn’t missed a thing. I know that not much will change in a city in such a short period of time but unpleasant memories of it all hit me like a ton of bricks. I never realized how unhappy I was there until I reached for something for better. Yet, here I was sitting in front of Marcus’ apartment because his calls and texts just wouldn’t stop.
Marcus is my crappy ex boyfriend. He was the love of my life and we took care of each other as teens and young adults. When I couldn’t depend on my mother to take care of me, I could depend on him. I will never forget how much he helped me, hell, I wouldn’t live the life I have if it wasn’t for him.
He and I made ends meet by getting into the drug industry, the bad kind. He distributed and I supported and created opportunities and connections. After seeing one of my friends get killed, I decided that it wasn’t for me any longer. I wasn’t in deep and I still had the opportunity to change my life. We made a pact that the life that we led wasn’t going to be forever. I wanted to change and he wasn’t ready.
I still stuck beside him but it created a rift in our relationship. He ultimately ended up breaking up with me to be with Charity because he’d gotten her pregnant. The realization that he’d moved on shattered me. I didn’t go to work and so I got fired.
However, that was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I soon applied for a personal assisting position at a huge company. Much to my surprise, I landed the job... and also landed the CEO.
Kyle is the CEO of Kane Enterprises. Not only is he a billionaire, he’s hot, and dominant. What more could a woman ask for from a man? I “belong” to him in the BDSM sense and my life has seemed to be better for it.
So..... why am I sitting outside of my ex’s house?
He claims that he’s no longer with Charity and that he misses me. His phone calls and texts have been coming in daily and I ignore most of them. A part of me feels like I owe him a chance but now that I’m here, I just want to leave. This isn’t the kind of life that I want for myself. I don’t want to deal with any baby mama drama. I also don’t want to be back in this neighborhood or associated with anyone affiliated with drugs. Not anymore.
I put my keys into my ignition and started it. I’m in a different place and I’m happy. I would be an idiot to go back to the life that I’ve worked so hard to escape. It’s time to move on. I headed to Kyle’s house with a smile upon my face, knowing that I made the right decision. I hope I never have to see Marcus again...
#Chapter1
“It’s not easy being me,not that I’m complaining ” Camille
“Millie,” Kyle said waking me up from my slumber.
“5 more minutes,” I begged.
“I gave you 5 more minutes, 5 minutes ago,” he laughed as he swatted me on the ass.
“I know, I know, it’s time to wake up. You worked me over last night and I’m so tired.”
“You’re right; I’ll have to take it easier on you during the week.”
Kyle has the sexual libido of a teenager and the sexual intelligence of a 40 year old man, yet his real age is in between. This makes him a dangerous combination. I was tired but I was willing to sacrifice feeling groggy in the morning for the great sex that have.
“No, please,” I said, “I like what we do and I don’t only want to get it on the weekends.”
“Well
then show me that you can handle it, I need you operating on all cylinders today.”
“When are we going to get another personal assistant? Because this has been so tiring, I love you but I’m only one person,” I complained.
I was working overtime since he fired his other personal assistant Amanda. Granted, the bitch needed to go. She was an evil and conniving little thing and she tried to chase me away the same way that she chased away his other assistants. Kyle had no clue, and once he figured it out, he got rid of her. I was happy to be Amanda-free but we needed someone else in that position soon or I was going to go absolutely crazy.
Kyle is all business once we step into the huge building on the magnificent mile of Chicago. His company takes up an entire floor and it’s immaculate. The problem is that it’s my phone and email that’s blowing up every day and not his. He has a million and one requests and I have to handle those along with everyone else. It’s not easy being me, not that I’m complaining.
I headed for the shower and prepared for the day. I put on the pencil skirt and white business top that he liked, and paired it with a simple pair of back Jimmy Choos. The shoes felt like they were making love to my feet. I had no idea what I was missing before I met expensive shoes. I smiled as I put on my understated gold jewelry and my gold day-collar. Most wouldn’t know that it’s a collar because it looks like a simple necklace with a circle as a charm.
When Kyle and I get to the office, he is all business. Our relationship isn’t public because he doesn’t believe that it’s the right time to reveal that he is screwing his assistant. We’re much more than that but that’s how the situation will be assessed. He introduced me to his family 3 months ago and I was ecstatic. Now I want more. I’m not sure if that’s just me being greedy or if it’s a reasonable request. At the end of the day I have to trust that he loves me enough to not keep me as a secret to the world. When the timing is correct, he will make the announcement I am sure of it.
